VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova cross country squad kicked off the 2008 season at the Old Nassau Run hosted by Princeton University on Saturday morning. The women's team finished second behind Georgetown, while the men's squad crossed the line in third place behind Princeton and Penn.

Junior Kaitlyn Tallman was the top finisher for the Wildcats. She crossed the finish line in 22:11.70 for third place, but was the second collegiate finisher.

Sophomore Amanda Marino also recorded a top 10 finish as she ran 22:40.40 to finish in eighth.

The Wildcats will run in the Haverford Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 23, in Haverford, Pa.
