Does my Season Ticket Seat Donation count toward the Postseason Ticket Program?
No. Your Season Ticket Seat Donation allows you the opportunity to purchase regular season tickets in the Pavilion andreceive priority seating in the Wachovia Center. However, it does not count toward the Postseason Ticket Program.
I already donate to the V Club. Does that count toward the Postseason Ticket Program?
Yes. Any monetary contributions to the V Club (i.e. golf outings, auction purchases, gifts to specific sports) after June 1, 2007 and before June 1, 2008 count toward the Postseason Ticket Program.
Does donating more than the minimum increase the likelihood that I will be able to purchase NCAA Tournament tickets?
Yes. Ticket requests will be accommodated based upon giving level. While a minimum donation of $500 is required to be eligible to purchase NCAA Tournament tickets, priority will be given to the highest level donors to the V Club.
What will the Postseason Ticket Program be used for?
Funds secured through the Postseason Ticket Program will be used to support the 24 varsity sports and approximately 550 student-athletes at Villanova University. Specifically, these funds will be used for athletic scholarships, facility upgrades, support personnel, and services for student-athletes.
Does participating in the Postseason Ticket Program guarantee that I will be able to purchase BIG EAST Tournament and NCAA Tournament tickets?
No. The Postseason Ticket Program is a minimum standard set to become eligible to purchase BIG EAST Tournament and NCAA Tournament tickets. It does not guarantee that all ticket requests will be filled. Due to the limited availability of postseason tickets and high demand, quantities may be limited. While we will continue to do our best to accommodate as many individuals as possible, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met.
How does the Postseason Ticket Program demonstrate Villanova's appreciation for my long-term support and loyalty to the program?
Your loyalty is being rewarded by having this exclusive opportunity to purchase BIG EAST Tournament and NCAA Tournament tickets. A majority of other BIG EAST member institutions have similar ticket programs in place. This new program will allow Villanova to remain competitive in one of the nations' best conferences.
Is the Postseason Ticket Program considered tax deductible?
Yes, to the extent that the law will allow.
When will my Postseason Ticket Program payment be required?
To be eligible for the 2008 NCAA Tournament, your Postseason Ticket Program payment is due with your NCAA Tournament Ticket application. Application forms and payments are due to the Villanova Athletics Ticket Office by March 14, 2008.
Do other BIG EAST universities have Postseason Ticket Programs?
Yes. Our research indicates that this level of contribution is consistent with other BIG EAST Conference institutions.
Does my gift carry over each year?
No. Donations are not cumulative. Beginning this year, participation in the Postseason Ticket Program will be required each season for those who wish to be eligible to purchase tickets for that season's BIG EAST Tournament or NCAA Tournament.
Does participating in the Postseason Ticket Program have any influence on the likelihood that I will have the opportunity to purchase NCAA Tournament tickets?
Yes. Your total annual giving to the V Club will be considered when reviewing requests to purchase NCAA Tournament tickets.
